UVA's Premier Professional Public Policy Fraternity

Kappa Omega Alpha

Zeta Chapter

About KΩA

Kappa Omega Alpha (KOA) is the nation’s premier nonpartisan public policy fraternity, uniting students who are passionate about leadership, civic engagement, and public service. With chapters at leading universities across the country, KOA fosters a national network of future policymakers, advocates, researchers, and public leaders.

The Zeta Chapter at the University of Virginia brings together a diverse group of students united by a shared commitment to civic engagement, policy literacy, and meaningful impact. Founded on the principles of fellowship, integrity, governance, and scholarship (FIGS), our Zeta Chapter provides a platform for students to explore pressing issues in domestic and international affairs while developing their professional and intellectual skills. Through speaker events, workshops, collaborative projects, and student-led initiatives, members engage critically with the world around them and learn to navigate the intersection of theory and practice.

Our chapter emphasizes inclusive dialogue, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a strong sense of community. Whether you're passionate about law and justice, economic strategy, international diplomacy, corporate responsibility, public service, or political advocacy, KOA offers a space to explore real-world impact through an interdisciplinary lens.
